What Is Microblading?

Microblading

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup but, rather than using a traditional tattoo machine, we use a manual hand tool to create individual hair strokes, the results are extremely natural and almost undetectable from your own hairs.

Whether your brows are sparse, over plucked or simply in need of definition, microblading can transform your look.

We use a handheld tool to create the look of individual hair strokes which are extremely natural and mimic your own eyebrow hair. This is the perfect option for anyone who wants to define and shape their brows without having to apply pencils, powders and pomades every day. Whether you suffer from sparse, over-plucked eyebrows, alopecia or simply need definition, microblading can transform your appearance.

Does Microblading hurt?

We would describe microblading as a little ‘scratchy’ rather than painful. We use a topical anaesthetic to keep you really comfortable, most people don’t feel much at all once the anaesthetic is applied.

How will I look directly afterwards?

Most of our clients will look perfectly normal after the treatment, if you are prone to rosacea or have very sensitive skin, you make look a little red around the area for a couple of hours afterwards but this will fade quickly. Most people resume normal activities directly after the session.

How long does it take for Microblading to heal?

Your brows will go through a number of changes as you heal, they will appear a little darker around day 4/5 and then fade during the second week, this is due to the pigment being ‘hidden’ by the healing skin and is nothing to worry about. During the 3rd week, the colour will bloom back and by week 4 you will have your healed result. You should expect some light shedding but nothing more and you will lose around 30% of the pigment after your first treatment.

What will the results be like?

The results are extremely natural and will last around 6-12 months before a maintenance session is needed.

Will I have to take any precautions after the procedure?

The good thing about microblading is that it’s not a pain-intensive technique. It requires little to no special care, microblading is an excellent solution for getting the perfect eyebrows.

Why have a brow treatment?

Brows really can make a huge difference to how we look, almost above all other facial features, if you suffer from Alopecia or hair loss following chemotherapy then the lack of brows can be crippling for your confidence especially if you are constantly worrying about brow pencil in the heat, rain or during sports. Fortunately, there is a better option with Permanent Makeup, this allows us to have our brows ready and weather-proof 24 hours a day without the need for makeup or any tinkering with pencils, powders or pomades!
